Wingsails

SubSeaSail manufactures wingsails appropriate to the size of the vessel and electrical power needs. Depending on expected wind conditions and power requirements, users may decide to purchase one or more additional sails. Options include:

Gen6 Standard Design

• Gen6 vessels come equipped with the standard transparent wingsail.

• Options:

  • Photovoltaic wingsail (necessary if user wants more power than available on deck.)

  • Smaller wingsail (this is to allow users to operate in regions with particularly strong winds.)

Gen6 Mini (Gen6 M)

• Wingsail for Gen6 M is approximately 50% of the area of the Gen 6 Standard wingsail and has photovoltaic on the wingsail.
